Power Cruise Control® (PCC) for the e-Up!, Mii electric and Citigo e iV is an intelligent Navigation App, which avoids range anxiety. It calculates your journeys using up-to-date car data, taking into account the available energy, not the remaining range. Using this approach, it can predict with high accuracy, the energy needed for a journey, allowing the driver to fully utilize the car's battery capacity at its best and gain time. No energy shortage will occur, thanks to the reliable PCC calculation method.
As shown in the introductory video, PCC is different from all other electric vehicle applications because
- it is real-time connected to the car via a Bluetooth OBD dongle and knows the SoC (State of Charge), the SoH (State of Health), the car's speed, and immediate power usage. These parameters are displayed during driving or charging on the "Car Data" page.
- it has constant communication with the driver via the intuitive and straightforward interface, called Heaven-Hell indicator, ensuring your arrival at destination. Viewing at the foreground, and the respect of the PCC indications are a must for a guaranteed arrival at destination.
- it indicates charging points along and nearby the route and calculates how much kWh you'll need to charge.
- it takes into account the orography, meaning the up and downhills present along the journey and energy consumption by heating and A/C cooling. The latter is essential since, in some EV-models, heat can consume many kW over several minutes.
The Use of Power Cruise Control is simple:
- Connect your OBD.
- Set your destination.
- Choose your energy strategy.
- Follow the Heaven-Hell indicator to reach your destination.
With these simple steps, you'll be able to reach every destination in total safety, assisted by the PCC Heaven/Hell indicator, to maintain the correct energy consumption while traveling.
MultiCharge options are available, with Real-Time charger occupation visible for those countries and providers who share that info.
Inside the App, you can choose between mph or km/h and C° or F° degrees.
